Feature Matters includes both peer review scholarship and scholarship solicited from major scholars in related fields that is relevant to a pre-announced annual theme. Analyzing Matters features scholarship, usually peer reviewed, on a wide range of topics related to religious practices and practical theology, with the goal of fostering interdisciplinary dialogue between scholars in a variety of fields. Practicing Matters introduces our readers to lived religious experiences where practitioners offer first-hand accounts of practice and even speak back to scholars who seek to interpret their practices for an academic audience. Reflexive pieces by academic writers about their research experience are also appropriate for this section. Teaching Matters explores practices of teaching lived religion and theology in classrooms and communities.
